Still have questions? We got you.
What happens when I first join as an advisor?
We’ll get you onboarded and set up with our travel agent training training curriculum, where you’ll learn everything from the ins and outs of hotel and cruise bookings to partner relations to destination-specific advice and beyond.
We’ll work to get you set up with everything you need to succeed from your first booking to your 1,000th (and beyond).
I am already a professional travel advisor. Can I join WTG?
Of course! As professional travel advisors ourselves, we’re excited to welcome experienced advisors to our community. We’re advisor-centric to our core, so there’s something here for everyone, no matter where you are on your journey.
What types of travel can I book as a WTG Advisor?
WTG works with 170,000+ suppliers, giving advisors access to exclusive perks at thousands of properties worldwide, including those belonging to top brands like IHG, Hyatt, Belmond, Rosewood and more. We work with both high-end luxury partners as well as lifestyle boutique partners.
As a WTG's Advisor, you can book with a wide array of travel suppliers. Think anything from hotels, cruises, transportation, tours & activities, villas, all-inclusives, car rentals, travel insurance, yacht charters and even private aviation.
What is WTG's commission split?
WTG Advisors take home the majority (70 %) of each commission, and WTG keeps a small portion (30 %) as the host agency. After you book more than $300k in commissionable travel in a calendar year, the split changes to 80/20 (*you must re-qualify annually).
Will I get access to IATA?
Yes, we will give you access to IATA and many more.
Are there minimum bookings or sales quotas?
At WTG, never. You're empowered to book in accordance with your schedule, and on your own terms.
Do I need an LLC to join WTG?
As part of joining WTG, you will be a 1099 independent contractor. You do not need to have an LLC to sign up with WTG. Should you want to, though, you can onboard with WTG as an LLC, rather than an individual contractor.
I am a travel content creator. Can I join WTG?
Yes! Booking travel is a great way for creators to expand on their travel income streams. It is important to note that the role of a WTG's Advisor is rooted in planning and booking travel, which is different from an affiliate program.
How do I get started?
Sign up! Enter your email on this page and you’ll be prompted to complete a detailed survey on your travel style and experience. If you meet our criteria, we'll get you onboarded and show you the ropes, so you can start booking travel in no time.
How does an advisor earn money?
Hotels and other travel providers pay advisors a commission on anything they book, at no additional cost to the traveler. Travel advisors also sometimes charge a planning fee for customized itineraries or more complicated trips.
